Pokémon Sword And Shield: How to get every free Pokémon and Gift so far in Australia!

Pokémon Sword and Shield is here and you already have access to events including Gigantamax Pokémon and outfits for your trainer!

Gigantamax-Capable Pikachu and Eevee

If you have save data from Pokémon Let’s Go Pikachu or Eevee on your Nintendo Switch, you’ll be able to receive a free Pikachu or Eevee in Sword and Shield! To claim the free Pokémon, you need to be able to access the Wild Area Station (roughly two hours into the game). Once in the Wild Area Station, be sure to talk to everyone in the Station itself!

The Pikachu or Eevee you receive will be capable of Gigantamaxing, but can not evolve.

Gigantamax-Capable Meowth

If you purchase a copy of Pokémon Sword or Shield by January 15 2020, you’ll be able to receive a free Meowth that’s capable of Gigantamaxing, but can not evolve.

To claim you Meowth:

• Launch your copy of Pokémon Sword or Shield
• Select Mystery Gift from the menu
• Select Get a Mystery Gift
• Select Get via Internet
• Your Meowth will be placed in your PC!

Those who preordered from EB Games will receive a download code for a Mystery Gift that gives you access to a Clothing Gift on their receipt!

To access your Clothing Gift in game:

• Launch your copy of Pokémon Sword or Shield
• Select Mystery Gift from the menu
• Select Get a Mystery Gift
• Select Get with Code/Password and follow the prompts to connect online
• Input your download code
• Visit the fitting room in a boutique to access the outfit

The Mystery Gift – Clothing Gift gives you the following clothing items:
