Oceanic International Championship Announced for Australia!

Following on from the inaugural Pokémon International Championships in London earlier this month, Pokémon has now announced the date and location of the second International Championships.

Melbourne will host the event on March 10th-12th (Friday to Sunday), at the Melbourne Park Function Center, which has previously been host to the Australian Pokémon National Championships in 2015 and 2016. Prize money and up to 500 Championship Points to help with World Championships qualification are on the line. There’s also the unmissable chance to meet and compete against some of the best Pokémon players in the World!

Pokémon TCG players will compete using the Standard format, including cards from the upcoming Pokémon TCG: Sun & Moon expansion. Pokémon video game players will battle using the Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon games and the VGC 2017 format.

While previous National Championships have attracted overseas visitors in the past, we can expect an international field larger and more diverse than ever before at the International Championships. There is plenty of time to plan ahead travel and accommodation for those coming from interstate and overseas, so we hope to see you all at Melbourne Park come March 10th.

Stay tuned as we bring you more information and details as they are announced!
